What BrandBook keeps on your Mac
BrandBook stores the information you add to the app, including brand names and descriptions, asset names, tags, notes, colors, typography, guidelines, and app settings.
Files you import are copied into BrandBook’s local library on your Mac. The app does not upload your brand library to CodeArc.studio.
Files and folders
BrandBook can access only the files and folders you choose through the macOS picker, drag and drop, the clipboard, or the “Send to BrandBook” service.
Your original files remain where they are. Removing an imported item from BrandBook removes the app’s copy, not the original source file.
Spotlight search
To help you find your work from macOS Spotlight, BrandBook may add brand names, asset names, descriptions, tags, color names, type families, and links to local files to the Spotlight index on your Mac.
Original asset contents are not sent to CodeArc.studio.
Optional Mac features
If you turn them on, BrandBook can use local notifications, launch at login, and a global keyboard shortcut. These choices are stored on your Mac and can be changed in BrandBook or macOS Settings.
Notifications are not used for advertising or marketing.
What BrandBook does not collect
The current app does not send us your brand files, usage history, searches, device identifiers, location, contacts, or payment information. It does not include ads, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics tools.
If a future version changes these practices, this policy will be updated before those changes apply.
Your choices
You can edit or delete brands and assets from within the app, review the local library in Finder, disable optional system features, and remove BrandBook’s Spotlight entries by deleting the related brand.
Before deleting the app, export or back up anything you want to keep. Removing the app itself may not automatically remove files saved in your Mac’s Application Support folder.
Children’s privacy
BrandBook is a general-purpose creative tool. It is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Contact and changes
We may update this policy when BrandBook changes. The date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
Questions about BrandBook privacy can be sent through the BrandBook contact page.
